We need your help to make the Halloween Spooktacular Auction a success!!!

August 29, 2011

Do you have a special talent or vacation home or side business that you could donate to the auction? We are happy to accept any and all donations, large and small, to support our goal of raising $23,000 this year (that’s just $55 per child!!).

Here are a few ideas to get you thinking:

  • Are you an artist? Do you make pottery or jewelry? Idea: donate some items for auction!
  • Do you have a boat? Idea: donate a day of fishing for a family of 4 for a day!
  • Are you a great cook with a special talent? Idea: donate a dessert of the month for 6 months!
  • Does your family have a cabin in the woods somewhere? Idea: donate a week at your family’s cabin!

Also, we are looking for volunteers for this year’s event:

  • 2-3 people to sell tickets before and after school – time commitment 2-3 hours per week for 2 weeks (or until tickets sell out!)
  • 1-2 people to work registration and checkout the night of the event – 1-2 hours
  • 1-2 people to write thank you notes after the event for volunteers and donors – 3-4 hours and can be done from home
  • Decorating for the auction

If you can make a donation OR want to volunteer in some way OR have questions, please contact Suzy Gilbert at suzygilbert@gmail.com or 360-588-8380

Volunteers needed for upcoming ASD Art Show-March 1st and March 29th

January 25, 2011

Mrs. Walsh-Smith is asking for help in setting up and removing art for the upcoming art show at the Depot building.

The annual student art show at the Depot is in March.  This year the show needs to be hung on March 1st (Tuesday).  The Depot will be open at 11:00.  Are there any PTA members that would be able to hang the show.  We usually have about 4 people and it takes a couple of hours.  All supplies would be there for you, although an extra hammer and step stool really helps!

We also need a group to take down the show (takes about an hour) on March 29th after 12:30.  The art would need to be brought back to Mt. Erie.

Thanks so much.  I would really appreciate any help for these 2 days!!

Please reply to jessicanotaro@me.com or call (360) 202-1441 if you are available.

Volunteers needed to host Missoula Children’s Theatre directors

January 13, 2011

We are in need of one or two volunteer homes to house our two Missoula Children’s Theatre directors for the week of March 6th. They are very self sufficient and appreciative. Each room must allow privacy and one must be a cat-free home. Please contact Silja Shjarback at 588-0866 or shjaresa@fidalgo.net as soon as possible if you are interested.

The MCT directors are great guests and a lot of fun for your children. The PTA will provide one main meal per day for them while they are at the school and your child’s MCT fee will be waived if you host a director. If we cannot find a volunteer home, we have to fund a hotel stay which depletes funds which would otherwise go to student enrich-ment activities. Please lend a hand!
