Just a quick reminder that Tuesday April 10th after school from 3:30-5 and Wednesday before school from 8:30-9:30 and after school from 3:30-4:30 auditions will be held for the annual Mt. Erie Talent Show. Please come fully prepared with your act well rehearsed and bring anything you will be using during the performance(ie background music on an i-pod, i-pad or recorded mp3 song).
January Family Night-The Reptile Man Jan 12th at 6:30pm
January 5, 2012The Reptile Man, alias Scott Petersen, will bring his friends King Cobra, Alligator Snapping Turtle, Albino Python, American Alligator, Large Diamondback Rattlesnake, and many more to the January Mount Erie Family night. Mr. Peterson holds degrees in Zoology and Education and is currently the Director of the Washington Serpentarium Reptile Zoo located a mile east of Monroe, WA. All of the poisonous snakes featured in the presentation have had their venom surgically removed so be sure to join us at 6:30pm on January 12th in the Mount Erie Gym
Wild West Literacy Family Night, Thur Dec 8th 6:30-7:30pm
December 7, 2011We would like to let everyone know about our Wild West Literacy night on Thursday, December 8th from 6:30 to 7:30pm. This will be our first literacy event of the school year for students and families.
Attendees can participate in activities including story time, bingo, and creative writing. This event will be an opportunity for you to engage in fun reading-related activities with your child. In addition, the Mount Erie Library bookfair will be going on during that time.
Please stop by to see what’s new and purchase some great books for your kids. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, December 8th at 6:30pm and promise it will be a rewarding experience. Harvest Festival- Fall Family Night Friday, October 28th from 6:30-8pm (in the gym)
October 24, 2011We have tons of activities planned for the festival including a kid’s costume contest with prizes, the annual cupcake walk, carnival games, crafts and face painting. We can’t wait to see our Mt Erie Families for a fun filled evening!
As always, Family Nights are free, but we ask that you please bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank. Thanks!

March 9, 2011Calling all Mt. Erie soloists, jugglers, gymnasts, pianists, comics, actors, and poets. Mark your calendars for May 13th at 6:30pm for the annual Mt. Erie Talent Show! Come show us your talent during the audition days on April 12th and 13th. After school auditions will be from 3:45 to 5pm and there‟s a special morning audition time of 8-9:30am on the 13th. Don’t be shy about strutting your stuff either by yourself or with a group of friends… variety is the name of the game. We look forward to seeing you in April! Get your groove on at the Valentine’s Family Dance!

We’re planning a fun-filled Family Valentine’s Dance!
Parents and children are welcome to come and learn some fun, new hip-hop dance moves from a local instructor who will be teaching during the dance. Also, expect some favorites like the Electric Slide, Macarena and Chicken Dance to enjoy with your family.

January 13, 2011Our next Family Night for Mt Erie families is January 14th starting at 6:30 pm. Family Game Night will be a fun filled evening of games for children young and old. Bring your own games or choose from our wide assortment of board games including favorites like Scrabble, Pictionary, and Yahtzee. Or try a new game like Two Bridges or Locale. Board games will be set up in the library.
If you are in the mood for something more active, hit the gym for a pickup game of basketball or volleyball (moms against daughters anyone?). There is something for everyone at Family Night! As always, Family Nights are free and fun for the whole family!

Holiday Craft Night December 3, 2010 6:30pm
November 30, 2010We will have 2-3 simple crafts for the first hour and then will be showing A Christmas Carol (2009) with Jim Carrey (rated PG) starring in four separate roles in this updated version of the Charles Dickens’ classic. The old miser Scrooge must face the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come. The spirits must help bring kindness to his otherwise cold heart and remind him of the man he used to be.
