The board has decided to discontinue this PTA sponsored program due to science being taught by Mrs. Damarjian, science specialist, to all 2nd-6th grade students.

April 27, 2011Thank you to the following wonderful parents who have volunteered to teach one or more Wednesday morning sessions of Science Detectives. Bob Linder has been doing a fantastic job of teaching but we needed more volunteers to fill in open dates in order to keep the program running. Thank you so much to the following volunteers for allowing this PTA sponsored class to continue!

Discovery Science Detective Classes
November 6, 2010Volunteers are needed to teach the Science Detective classes for Nov 24th, Dec 1st, and Dec 8th. The Wednesday classes enhance students’ understanding of science and make it fun. Ensuring we have volunteers helps maintain and provide a stable program for the kids and parents who need to bring their children to school early on late start days. Contact Bob Linder (islandtug@hotmail.com) about opportunities to volunteer.
