About

Welcome to the Mount Erie Elementary PTA Website!

We hope that you will find this website a useful resource and visit often. The 2011-2012 school year will be an exciting year as we welcome Peter Donaldson, Mt. Erie’s new principal and two new teachers. The school now has a motto: At Mt Erie, we CARE (Cooperation, Attitude, Respect & Effort). The PTA is here to support and enhance the school year experience for our kids, families and wonderful Mount Erie teachers and staff! We are starting a new program this year: Room Parents! We hope this will allow for more efficient communication with the families of Mt. Erie.

We have exciting events in store this year: Our Spooktacular Auction Fundraiser on October 22nd, where we hope to raise $55 per student at Mt. Erie to support the many student enrichement programs we orgainize such as…staff appreciation lunches, Missoula Childrens Theater, Watch D.O.G.S., Winter Reading Program, sending the fifth graders to Mountain School and assiting the City of Anacortes as they start a new community garden project on Mt. Erie’s campus! We would love to have you join us in any way you can – there is still one board position available (Family Nights Chair) and all kinds of volunteer opportunities for specific events. Please contact  or volunteer coordniator Susan Butler at sjb1992@gmail.com for more details.

Also – all Mount Erie families are encouraged to attend PTA meetings whenever possible. Childcare is provided, and it is a great way to get connected with other Mount Erie families and find out what is happening at our school! Click on the calendar link for more information.
