Dear Parents and Guardians,
AUDITIONS FOR MCT’S ROBINSON CRUSOE PRODUCTION ARE HERE!!!
The audition for Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Robinson Crusoe will be held on Monday, March 16th in the Mt. Erie gym after school from 3:40pm to 5:40pm. There are roles for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Approximately 50-60 Mt. Erie students will be cast to appear in the show with a MCT Tour Actor/Director. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must be in the gym at 3:40pm and stay for the entire two-hour session. ***For those students that have been cast in the play, their $20 non-refundable participation fee is due Monday after the audition. Checks can be made out to the Mt. Erie PTA.*** (Some scholarships are available, please see Mrs. Estensen).
This is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary, but a SMILE ( never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time! We suggest bringing an after school snack.
Rehearsals will be conducted every day. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Tentatively, the first rehearsal for kids age 8-12 begins after the audition at 6:15 pm, and for kids age 5-7, on Wednesday, March 18th at 12:15. All rehearsals will be in the Mt. Erie gym and/or in the Mt. Erie library. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. Cast members scheduled for the full 4½ hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a snack.
The performances will be held on Friday, March 20th at 7pm and Saturday, March 21st , at 11:00am (call time tentatively 10:15am) in the Mt. Erie gym.
