Holiday Music Concert, Thursday, December 16, 2010, “A Festival of Lights”

All around the world families share the hope inherent in the winter season with traditional celebrations and customs.  Whatever the customs, they all share that hope with feasting, singing, and the spectacle of brilliant lights shining in the darkness.  This year our Mt. Erie students will be helping you celebrate your holiday season with their all-school concert entitled “A Festival of Lights”.  It will be a joyful celebration of the season with songs from many different cultures, including America of course.

The program will be presented as usual at Brodniak Auditorium at the high school on Thursday, December 16.  It will be in two halves.  The first half will feature the primary students in grades K-3, and will begin at 6:00 p.m.  Performers will be expected to meet their teachers at 5:45 in the auditorium.  After a 45 minute performance, we will take a 30 minute break before the intermediate students in grades 4-7, including the choir, take the stage at 7:15 p.m.  Their performance will also last about 45 minutes.
